PASTURE OF PROPOSED INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ON SWINDELL ROAD

SAVESWINDELL is a group of community members trying to halt the rezoning change of our residential agricultural area to an industrial zone. If the Polk County Board of County Commissioners approve this zoning change, then a developer has proposed an industrial building on the site.

REASONS WHY WE OPPOSE LDCPAS-2023-2

The site change is not compatible with our current residential land use or meets Polk County’s Compatibility Section of non-residential uses near or adjacent to residential land use.

Negative impact of flooding on our land

Negative impact on current wildlife in our area

Increase of traffic on Swindell Road – Increase of automobiles/trucks

Increase of property insurance to current land owners with an industrial building within 300 feet of property lines.

Negative impact to wells and septic drainage systems
